Yep, its pink day again.. Breast Cancer Awareness.. feel your boobies girls AND guys... 10 percent of all breats cancers are detected in men  (if you are unsure how to do this.. please form an orderly line to the left, I will be happy to help you out).

 

But in all seriousness.. while we are all chuckling over our outrageous shirts and hair today.. take a moment to remember those that battled and lost (my Aunt Tiny and my good friend Anne) and then go celebrate with those that battled and won (my Aunts Heather and Marlene).

Me?? I'm travelling.. so I will be bopping down the highway in a seriously bright pink shirt ((as pink as only the 80's could make) and stopping at every little town to see if there is a cupcake or other fundraiser stall and throwing gobs of money at them .. I expect to get to Canberra at least 5 kilos heavier than when I left here lol!

Trades.  This is what I am after.. a boy  doll in YOSd size.. brand not important, I will know who I want when I see them, but I will only consider dolls that come with clothes and wigs/eyes/shoes.  Also after an SD girl... would really love a Soony, or +pretty please+  a dollstown 13 girl :>, also looking for a boy that will match a mocha unoa 2nd girl.  Would POSSIBLY consider trading for a 90cm boy and an 80cm girl as well.  However, I insist on seeing a tracking number before I send out my part of the trade.. been ripped off before, not going to let it happen again.

Shipping... within a week if payment is made by paypal.  Thats how long it takes my obscure credit union to receive paypal funds.  If its via bank deposit, shipping will occur the day after funds appear in my account.

Pets.. yes,  I have two cats and four pet rats.  The cats LOVE to give people gifts of pretty little hairs, the rats are caged and don't go near the dolls when they are out.  The only other animals in the house are my feral children.. they don't shed much.

Bought from Skumring and sent to GothicKDM for a faceup, which is just amazing.  This doll has never been outside since I owned him, he was only put on this SDF body for these photos, but the resinmatch isnt too bad, if you are thinking of getting one as a body.

The eyes are acrylic, the faceup is sealed, the wig is by Michiko, fits perfectly and has been styled with gel (which I am happy to wash out if you wish).  Its a very high quality wig, well finished and great feeling fur.  Purchased from Junkyspot just for spike.

The outfit is a Yukinojo jacket, jeans and wallet, a pair of BGN socks in grey and black stripe (I am not sure if spike actually wears these socks in the series, but my spike really likes them, so they go with him), and a dollzone 70cm boy shirt in red.  The outfit is based to look like Spike in his very first appearance in Buffy.

Next doll

Hybrid Dollmore Ray head with DOA artist faceup.  Domuya Flexi Perennial body with model legs.  This body has yellowed a bit, and she has been fitted with optional hands which dont quite match (although they ARE domuya).  She also has high heel feet fitted, but will come with her flat feet and her normal legs.  The neck has been modded to take the head, and the head has been drilled out a little as well.

Price $250us plus shipping from Australia

Doll will come with eyes and wig as pictured. Eyes are glass from unknown maker, wig is a luts.  There will be at least two outfits that fit her, possibly more.  All are handmade, but well made.

She fits very nicely into SD13 clothing, except for the length, and feeple clothing is just about perfect.

Faceup - please note there is a smudge in the sealer at the headcap.. can NOT be seen with a wig on and does not affect the quality of this work at all.  The pentagram is lightly carved in, and could probably be sanded out, but I never bothered.

I made a trade via the junkyspot chatroom back at the beginning of this year with Josh, aka joshdoll or tonnerlover@aol.com.. the trade was an iplehouse lion bjd for an alice cherry blossom bjd, a hujoo wing and $150us... he threw in an ashton drake ashleigh baby doll as a gift, cos he doesn't like baby dolls


Well, my alice arrived damaged... turns out she was not insured, although he claimed she was. the first half of the payment (via money order, cos he doesn't have paypal) was also damaged and had to be sent back to him.....

Stupid me sent off my lion  BEFORE the money order was replaced, or the insurance schmozzle got sorted out.. he had traded with friends of mine before and everything had been fine.

Since he received my dolls I have had almost no communication.. he emailed me once to say it was going to take a while to get a replacement money order.. now he won't even reply to my emails. Its been three months. the above names are both usernames on different forums for the same person.

I am out over five hundred dollars worth of bjds and I have a cute plastic doll in return.. the ashleigh was NOT in good condition, and is worth nothing.. .the broken alice, I sold off for much less than half she was worth, due to the damage and the heartache, as I just couldn't bear to look at her any more.

Josh collects BJD's and tonner dolls, claiming to have over 200 of each... I highly recommend you tell him to keep them if you are approached. I know he is trying to offload a sharmin bjd last time anyone heard from him. The lion was put up for trade on Zone of Zen.. although I have emailed him several times asking for its return.  After I notified the moderators there, he was banned from that forum as well.

My lion was taken to gogadoll, where he tried to sell them.. now my lion is on ebay from a different seller..

I can only assume that this person bought the doll in good faith, but I KNOW its my lion, the outfit, eyes and shoes are all the same (I have dated photo evidence) and he has a OOAK faceup by an australian artist that is VERY distinctive..

This is from the kitchen side, trim still to be put on, then sanded and painted.  Lime green on the kitchen side, burnt orange in the sunroom.

We didn't lose nearly as much light as expected - yay!

In other news..... my hair is now military regulation short - yippee!  And I am going to crawl all over the radio telescope in parkes this weekend - woot!
